Kim Kardashian Baby Name Speculation — South West Is ‘So Stupid’
Now that Kim Kardashian is finally pregnant with baby No. 2, everyone is wondering what Kim and Kanye West will name their new little peanut. So far, the popular favorite is South West, playing off the name of their nearly two-year-old daughter, North West, also referred to as Nori.
In an interview with Hollywood Life,Kim Kardashian faces the South West rumors head on, and denies that she would ever give her child such a silly name.
“You’ll be surprised at all the names people do send us. I mean, everyone keeps saying South, and I think that’s so stupid. It’s the stupidest thing ever, and just ridiculous.”
Aside from the fact that Kim simply doesn’t like the name South, Kardashian believes that giving the children opposite names will start the Kardashian-West siblings off on the wrong foot, so to speak.
“I don’t like South West though, because North will always be better, and she has a better direction. I wouldn’t do that [set them up in conflict with each other]. I don’t think we’ll go with another direction.”
It is easier to understand her reasoning when we see the whole picture. According to TMZ, the name North is “more inspirational than directional.” The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her hubby chose their daughter’s name according to the symbolism attached.
“What’s North of North? Nothing.”
So, if calling their daughter North indicates that it just doesn’t get better than her, South would certainly be an insult to the second child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Maybe Kim Kardashian will return to the tradition of her mother, Kris, and grace the new baby with a moniker that starts with a “K.” Key West, perhaps?
If she knows the gender of the new baby, Kim Kardashian is keeping her luscious lips tightly sealed.
“We actually haven’t told anyone the sex. So I heard that we’re having a boy, I heard that we’re having twins, I heard that I’m not even carrying my own baby … I’ve heard so many things, and most of the information is not true.”
Unfortunately, Kim isn’t even hinting at which information, if any, is actually true.
