Ramona Singer To Keep Mansion In The Hamptons As Part Of Divorce Settlement

Ramona Singer is keeping her beloved mansion in the Hamptons as part of a divorce settlement between the Real Housewives of New York star and her soon to be ex.

Page Six reports the Southampton mansion is where Ramona caught her husband, Mario Singer, allegedly cheating with a much younger woman in January, 2014. As part of the couple’s divorce settlement, the reality star will keep the 7,000 square foot mansion, while her soon to be ex-husband gets the couple’s 2,400 square foot Upper East Side condo, which is set to hit the market soon at a price of $4.95 million.

According to Variety, Ramona Singer bought the Hamptons home in 1995 for $875,000. The house has six bedrooms and six bathrooms, finished lower level with a pool table and media room, two fireplaces, two-car garage, tennis court, and pool.

Last month, the Real Housewives of New York star put the mansion up for lease for the summer season, Memorial Day to Labor Day, with an asking price of $320,000. The mansion can be leased for two weeks at $60,000, according to Saunders, the real estate agency holding the listing.

Ramona filed for divorce last year from her husband of 22 years after he allegedly had an affair with Kasey Dexter, a fitness instructor from New York City. The two reconciled for a short time, but when the RHONY star discovered her husband was again seeing the much younger woman, she filed for divorce. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Mario has allegedly been trying as hard as he can to get his hands on Ramona’s money and property.

The reality star’s struggle with adapting to single life is a major part of her storyline on this season of the Real Housewives of New York. In the first episode of Season 7, which aired April 7, Singer immediately addressed the fact that she was getting divorced and that she and Mario were living apart after he decided to go outside the marriage. About her divorce, the RHONYstar says she looks at her divorce as a new beginning for herself.

“I was so fortunate that for 22 years Mario was a great husband and partner, however things did change during the last two years. He went outside of the marriage, instead of communicating to me what the problems he felt were.”

The Real Housewives of New York airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
