Beyoncé Makes ‘Big’ Announcement On ‘GMA’: Eat Your Vegetables!
Beyoncé, as promised, made a “big” announcement Monday on ABC’s Good Morning America (GMA), and the “big” announcement turned out to be Much Ado About Not A Lot: she wants you to eat your vegetables.
As USA Today reports, Beyonce teased a big GMA announcement Sunday night on Twitter.

When the time came for the big reveal on GMA Monday morning, it turned out that Beyoncé’s “big” announcement was little more than a product placement for her vegan diet.
“I’m not naturally the thinnest woman. I have curves. I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works and keeps the weight off has been difficult for me.”
Specifically, according to Huffington Post, Beyoncé used her spot on GMA to shill for her trainer Marco Borges’ vegan diet cookbook, 22 Day Revolution, and its accompanying meal-delivery service (which got off the ground thanks to a considerable investment from Beyoncé), 22 Days Nutrition. So what’s in this vegan diet cookbook that Beyonce shilled on GMA? USA Today writer Moeve McDermott found a recipe for vegan pizza that Borges claims is a favorite of Beyoncé and her family. Depending on your point of view, sounds either delicious or disgusting.
“The crust swaps out your standard white flour for a mix of brown rice flour and tapioca flour, and say goodbye to mozzarella and ricotta – the recipe calls for a vegan cheese made with raw cashews, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar, among other ingredients. Just reading the ingredients makes us sad. We’re all in support of veganism, but this just seems wrong.”
Needless to say, Beyoncé’s fans, expecting her “big” GMA announcement to be something along the lines of a new album with husband Jay-Z, or perhaps an upcoming brother or sister for Blue Ivy, were let down when it turned out Bey was just advertising her business. Several fans took to social media to complain.
What a joke. Beyonce uses Good Morning America to announce she’s vegan. Yikes. — Loren Raye (@LorenRaye) June 8, 2015
