‘RHOBH’ Season Six: Did Kim Richards Quit?

RHOBH season six will be without Kim Richards and according to a new report, it may not be because she was fired. On June 3, Rumorfix released a report claiming the troubled mother of four quit the show after entering rehab on Monday.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star will not be returning to the show that made her a household name,” read the site’s report. “The troubled reality star has no plans on remaining a full-time cast member on season six of the Bravo hit.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Richards’ role on RHOBH season six was said to have been revoked earlier this week, just after the reality star returned to treatment. At the time, a source told E! News that Richards would possibly make a few cameo appearances, but would no longer be seen in the full-time role she’s held since season one.

Days prior, a source told Radar Online that Richards would likely not be fired from RHOBH season six, but also claimed she was dodging producers’ phone calls and had been avoiding the network altogether in recent weeks.

“The network was told that Kim checked back into rehab on Monday, as they requested her to do. However, Kim still refuses to speak to any of her bosses on the show directly and they had to find out through family members.”

“Although they are not 100 percent certain yet about her future on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, if she checked back into a treatment center voluntarily, she will most likely not be fired from the show.”

With RHOBH season six production due to start at any moment, the cast of the series remains unknown. However, now that Richards won’t be appearing, the network may bring someone new to spice things up. Last month, three of the season five women, Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards, attended the NBC Upfront presentation, which showcases Bravo’s upcoming program lineup and hinted they would be a part of the cast.

As for the rest of the ladies, including Eileen Davidson, Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Foster, their future with Bravo and with RHOBH season six is unclear. While all three may return, Foster’s role will likely decrease as her struggle with Lyme disease remains in full-swing. As fans will recall, Foster was unable complete filming on the season five reunion earlier this year.

A premiere date for RHOBH season six has yet to be set.
