Days of Our Lives fans are freaking out because it looks like Belle Black-Brady may be returning to Salem. While nothing has been officially confirmed, Martha Madison, who formerly played the character, is likely returning for the 50th anniversary special later this year.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry , Martha Madison, who is not the original Belle Black, (that would be General Hospital ‘s Kirsten Storms) made some interesting moves on Twitter recently that has Days of Our Lives fans talking about her return to Salem.
Martha recently followed Jason Cook, who played Shawn Brady, her on screen husband, as well as the Days writers, which seems to be a good sign that her character will come back to Salem along with Shawn this November.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Jason Cook has been confirmed to return to the show as Shawn Brady, Belle’s long time love and current husband, with their daughter Claire who is being cast as a teenager, Shawn’s father Bo Brady, and many more fan favorite characters.
The NBC soap will celebrate its 50th anniversary this fall, and tons of fan favorite characters are set to make a return to help commemorate the milestone. Of course there needs to be some reason why all these beloved Salemites are coming home, right? Rumors are flying that one character, Caroline Brady, may fall ill or worse, even die, and friends and family members will come home to rally around the Brady matriarch. Youth Health Magazine reports that it could be Caroline’s Alzheimer’s disease that progresses and forces her family members home.
While most of the characters will only be returning for a few episodes in celebration of Days of Our Lives ‘ anniversary, fans are hoping that Shawn, Belle, and their daughter Claire will be sticking around Salem for good. Shawn and Belle were one of the youngest super couples on the soap and viewers have desperately missed them since they decided to leave town and sail around the world on their boat, much like Bo and Hope did with young Shawn many years ago.
One of the most interesting things about the Days anniversary will be the reunion of Hope Brady and her daughter Sierra with Bo and Shawn. The entire family hasn’t been seen on the show together in seven years, and things should get pretty dramatic when everyone is finally back together in Salem.
