Jessica Simpson: Night Out Unsteadiness After Cutting Loose May Indicate Jessica Is Abusing Adderall, Alcohol [Report]

Jessica Simpson enjoyed a night out perhaps a little too much. Shocking onlookers, Jessica required help from husband Eric Johnson as she exited a Los Angeles nightclub with friends after having an apparent overdose of fun, reported the Daily Mail.

The mom of two had gone to the Sayers Club to offer support to Evan Ross, who is her brother-in-law. While Simpson celebrated Evan’s life performance at the club, she almost fell as she left. However, Eric firmly grasped his wife’s arm and assisted her into the car.

What caused that tottering and stumbling? Some say that Jessica is having problems staying sober, reported Radar Online.

She also had a wardrobe malfunction, as well, when Simpson tried to prevent her dress from slipping without losing her balance. The outing follows an attempted family intervention, with her relatives concerned about her alcohol intake as well as her use of Adderall to stay slim.

As the Inquisitr reported, Jessica became famous for succeeding in achieving her weight loss goals with a combination of Weight Watchers and exercise.

But as many marveled at how Simpson had succeeded in becoming so slim, rumors began to circulate that she was having problems with her use of diet pills, in particular Adderall, which some celebrities use to boost their weight loss.

Concerned about her use of those pills and her booze intake, her family tried to intervene, said an insider.

“The family dinner started off as a nice conversation about how she should maybe cut back on her workouts and dieting, but it turned into a heated fight. [Sister] Ashlee really called her out and told her she needed to get help, but Jessica freaked and ran out in tears. Now everyone’s on pins and needles about what to do.”

Thus far, Jessica has reportedly declined to go to rehab for treatment.

If true, is her use of Adderall dangerous? It’s known as the “get ahead” drug for its boost to energy, combined with appetite reduction, reported Self.

“The quick weight loss was a surprise—the icing on the cake. The pills wiped out my appetite and made me feel incredible,” said one user. “I was thrilled: It was literally the perfect combination!”

However, experts caution that although Adderall reduces the appetite and thus boosts weight loss, those benefits end when users stop taking the medication. Moreover, its side effects range from insomnia to hypertension.

Where do women such as Jessica get these pills? One-fourth of adults who receive an ADHD diagnosis actually pretend to have the symptoms in order to get the prescription, according to a Clinical Neuropsychologist study.
