Bobbi Kristina Brown Lands TV Role on Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse

Finally some positive news for Bobbi Kristina Brown!

Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of recently departed singer Whitney Houston and her ex-husband Bobby Brown, has been cast on Tyler Perry’s TBS comedy For Better Or Worse.

A rep for the Houston family confirmed the news to People Magazine.

According to People, Bobbi Kristina – whose previous TV experience is limited to interviews and reality show Being Bobby Brown – would play the daughter of one of the stylists at the salon run by Tasha Smith’s Angela.

Little else is being said publicly about the part.

Though the sitcom role will mark her first professional acting role, Bobbi Kristina, 19, expressed her desire to be a star in the past.

“I have to carry on the legacy,” she told Oprah Winfrey during an exclusive interview on OWN earlier this month. “We’re going to do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing.”

Besides Houston’s daughter, For Better or Worse – which is based on Perry’s movies Why Did I Get Married? and Why Did I Get Married Too? – features Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith.

The series is slated to begin its second season in July 2012. In the meantime, check out a clip from the show below:
