Alex Da Silva Arrested

Alex Da Silva, a well regarded choreographer who appeared on TV show So You Think You Can Dance was arrested Saturday on charges that he raped four of his dance students

Da Silva is alleged to have lured several female students to his homes in California between May 2003 and March 2009, then used a ruse to get them into his bedroom before raping them.

Police were aware that Da Silva may have been a serial rapists after several of the women filed reports in the past, but were not pursued due to lack of evidence. The latest assault however forced their hand, when the allegation was nearly identical to the earlier ones, despite the women not knowing each other.

Da Silva was held in custody on $3.8 million bail and is due in court April 7.
