Rumer Willis And Val Chmerkovskiy: Are The ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Champions Dating?

Could Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy be dating? The Dancing with the Stars Season 20 winners had undeniable chemistry as dancing partners onscreen, but what about offscreen? The duo quickly became a favorite of the judges, and their passion for dancing shone through in their performances together.

The two are actually just good friends, according to Hollywood Life. Willis and Chmerkovskiy’s off-the-chart chemistry they shared is likely due to the fact that Rumer and Val knew each other before they were paired up for the show. While it’s true Rumer and Val became close with the number of hours needed to train and practice for Dancing with the Stars, they only became even closer friends without a romance blossoming.

Rumer Willis took to Instagram to express her gratitude to Val after their win.

A source tells Hollywood Life, “Rumer and Val are not dating. They are great friends and there will be nothing romantic that comes from that friendship. She doesn’t want to date right now, she wants to focus her attention on her career. Working on film, music and the stage are her priorities, and guys are far down on the list.”

The source also says, “Though Rumer is denying any love interests, she also knows that she could meet her future husband anywhere and at anytime, so if an opportunity presents itself then she will pursue it.”

Fresh from their victory, Rumer Willis and Val have have more time together coming up in their near future. The Dancing with the Stars summer tour kicks off next month, and Willis and Val will also perform at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom in SWAY: A Dance Trilogy on June 5 and 6, TV Guide reports.

In an interview with TV Guide, Chmerkovskiy talks about his love for performing and the motivation he had to win Dancing with the Stars with partner Rumer Willis.

“I love teaching, and it was an incredible pleasure to teach Rumer this season, but now we’re going to go on and perform. My passion is performing, and performing in front of a live audience. I love what I do on Dancing with the Stars, in terms of all the cameras and creating television, but my passion has always been on stage doing live performances. That was one of the motivators for me to win the show. I wanted to take the trophy on tour and be able to share that gratitude with all our fans and the people that come and support me.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Rumer Willis’s future plans seem to include heading to the recording studio after her Dancing with the Stars performance to her own cover of Britney Spears’s hit song “Toxic.”

While Rumer Willis may not be interested in romance right away, she has plenty of other exciting prospects coming up.
