Kim Richards will reportedly leave rehab later this month to attend the second wedding of her daughter, Brooke Brinson. According to a May 4 report by Radar Online , the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star will leave the country in the coming weeks, but is expected to return to rehab once she’s back in Los Angeles.
“Before [Kim Richards] agreed to check in to rehab in Malibu, she made an agreement with the facility that she would be allowed to leave to attend Brooke’s wedding.”
Although Kim Richards’ daughter is already married to husband Thayer Wiederhorn, she is planning a second, more lavish bash at an undisclosed location later this month.
“The wedding will be taking place in a few weeks, and will be out of the country.”
According to Radar ‘s source, Kim Richards won’t be alone in her travels. Instead, she’ll be accompanied by a chaperone to ensure she doesn’t relapse.
“A staffer from the facility will act as [Kim Richards]’s chaperone, to make sure Kim doesn’t drink or take any other substances. Dr. Phil will be paying the bill for the staffer to go with Kim.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards has been visited in rehab by her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star and friend, Brandi Glanville. In a new interview with Us Weekly , Glanville revealed she saw Richards two weeks ago, and planned to see her again on Sunday.
On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , Kim Richards’ friendship with Glanville was often pulled into question, and for a while after filming, the two co-stars weren’t speaking, aside from an occasional text message. However, after Kim Richards’ relapse and arrest, Glanville announced she was a “real friend,” and now, the pair appear to be as close as ever.
Last month, as reported by E! News , Kim Richards was arrested for public intoxication , trespassing, resisting an officer, and battery on an officer at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
According to the report, Kim Richards was drinking at the hotel’s Polo Lounge and became disruptive to guest before she was cut off from alcoholic beverages and asked to leave. When she refused, hotel security called the Beverly Hills Police Department, who removed Kim Richards from the area after a brief standoff in the restroom. Once in custody, the reality star and mother of four allegedly kicked a police officer.
Kim Richards is due in court to address the pending charges against her on June 10.
