Rumors have been circulating about Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes for years. While sources have said that the two are secretly dating, Foxx says that they’re just friends. Not only that, but the actor went on to say that these rumors have affected his relationship with his actual girlfriend.
Foxx doesn’t go on to name his girlfriend, but the former comedian told Dish Nation that she wasn’t too happy when the rumors resurfaced back in March.
“No, we’re not dating. I’m not the person who wants to be defined by anybody I date. So, even if I was dating someone, no one would know anyway. But it affects my situation because I got a girl who’s like, ‘Yo, who’s this [expletive]?’”
Foxx continued, “The second time [the rumors] happened… we get together to do an animation thing and then somebody flips a picture to make it seem like we’re holding hands. I said, ‘If it was a real relationship, why didn’t they just get that? Why didn’t they get us kissing?’”

Rumors first started about Jamie and Katie when they were spotted on the dance floor back in 2013. At the time they were at an event in East Hampton.
Then, rumors heated up again when they were photographed holding hands. As Foxx stated, the two were just working on an animation project at the time the photo was snapped.

When rumors first started, many questioned how Jamie Foxx could possibly date Katie Holmes when he had been friendly with her ex Tom Cruise? Well, Foxx addressed that as proof that he wasn’t dating his Collateral co-star’s ex wife.
“We were friendly when we did the movie. You know how Hollywood is… They’re not necessarily your best friends but you have respect for them.”
