‘The Whole Damn Farm’ 2,000 Calorie Burger Includes Four Different Types Of Pork

While calorific hamburgers, usually served with a side of fries and slaw, are generally associated with everything American. Some people in Britain, it seems, are dropping their fish and chips in favor of massive American style burgers.

One such example is chef Sam Longhurst, from Splendid Kitchen in Manchester in the North of England, who created and executed a huge, 2,000 calorie-packed burger, including four different types of pork called The Whole Damn Farm.

But for $20, which is pretty reasonable, you get a 10 inch-tall burger piled with six forms of three different meats including two beef patties and a whole fried chicken thigh, among other things.

Those other things include a layer of homemade bacon jam, 100g of ham chunks, 80g of pulled pork and four rashers of bacon all sandwiched between two brioche buns.

To offer some perspective, that equates to roughly six Big Macs the burger, as chef Longhurst explained.

“We are always up for a challenge and when a customer seemed disappointed by a burger that only contained beef and chicken, we knew we had to take it one step further. You could say we’ve taken it several steps further as there are six different forms of meat on there. I think it’ll keep the punters satisfied.”

Longhurst, from Salford, added, “It’s amusing when people are cocky and decide to go for it, as it’s a monster of a burger and they don’t realise that. I have only just managed to eat it myself. It’s loads of fun making stuff that’s a little bit ridiculous. I experiment with cooking at home too.”

The co-creator of “The whole damn farm” burger, Mike Edge, also spoke about the concept behind the restaurant’s ultimate burger experience, “We wanted something show-stopping; we haven’t gone down the road of using crisps and sweets as toppings, where it starts to get silly. All our dishes are quite fresh-tasting with just the odd strange ingredient.”
