The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ‘ Kim Richards is reportedly in need of mental help. On April 7, a source revealed the following to Radar Online in regard to the Real Housewives star:
“Kim’s friends really want her to see a mental health professional. There is only so much a person can deal with. And when looking at Kim’s history with alcohol, it just makes sense to get additional resources on board.”
During the recently aired fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , Richards admitted to taking a pain killer, which she was not prescribed. Although Richards claimed she didn’t intentionally cause herself to appear under the influence, the ordeal certainly raised concerns among her Real Housewives co-stars.
Rinna “is absolutely frightened of Kim because of her erratic behavior right now.”
“After Kim went so far as to hint that Lisa’s husband, Harry Hamlin had cheated on her, Lisa fears her outbursts will only get worse. At a dinner in Amsterdam, Kim pushed Lisa so far over the edge she ended up shattering a wine glass in frustration.”
At this point, the Real Housewives star isn’t ready to get help, and unfortunately, as the source pointed out, “no one can force her.”
Adding to Richards’ alleged mental struggles is the fact that she and her sister, Kyle, are no longer speaking, and don’t appear to be heading for a reconciliation.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, one of the Real Housewives star’s four children entered a psychiatric facility last month for help addressing issues stemming from depression.
According to a Radar Online insider, the child’s entry into the Los Angeles treatment center wasn’t the result of a psychiatric hold , but it was close. For years, the child has reportedly been suffering from depression, and the hospitalization to its toll on the Real Housewives star. In fact, at the time of the report, the insider noted Richards’ friends and family were just as concerned for her as they were for the child.
Weeks later, Radar Online confirmed the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s child had been released from care, and was expected to move into a group therapy home before returning to his previous residence at the Real Housewives star’s home.
Richards is mother to Kimberly, 21, Chad, 22, Whitney, 24, and Brooke, 29.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ‘ season 5 reunion concludes with part three next Tuesday, April 14, at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
