Who Is ‘Bachelorette’ 2015 Star Shawn Booth? Kaitlyn Bristowe Falling For Ryan Gosling Look-Alike
Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe is narrowing down her choices, but one contestant — Shawn Booth — seems to be standing out from the crowd. Reality Steve reports that the 28-year-old Nashville resident, who looks an awful lot like actor Ryan Gosling, is “definitely one of the top guys” this season and will likely make it to hometown dates.
Filming is about six episodes in, with the premiere slated for May 18, so things are starting to get serious with Kaitlyn and her remaining guys. According to WetPaint, Shawn got the first impression rose when filming started last month, and he’s made it through at least six episodes.

Last week, Kaitlyn and Shawn went on a one-on-one date in San Antonio. The couple went kayaking, and Booth showed off his abs, something that won’t disappoint fans who appreciate a little man-gawking while Kaitlyn tries to find a guy to settle down with. Time will tell if Shawn is Kaitlyn’s final pick, but they appear to be having a great time on their date, despite being surrounded by cameras.
Who is Shawn Booth, and is he really on the Bachelorette to find love?
Reality Steve reports that Booth may have more than love on his mind. Although he thinks the Ryan Gosling doppelgänger will end up being one of Bristowe’s final guys, if she doesn’t choose him, he’s a shoe-in for the next Bachelor.
“I don’t think I’m overstepping my bounds by saying that. From everything I’m hearing, he’s definitely one of the top guys that are left. And if she doesn’t choose him, you can immediately put him near the top of the list for the next Bachelor.”
Booth hails from Windsor Locks, Connecticut, but currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He recently quit his job as a insurance company consultant — he must be extremely confident that he will make it big in TV as either Kaitlyn’s final pick, the next Bachelor, or with a gig on Bachelor in Paradise this summer.
His resignation letter, scooped by Reality Steve, was recently posted on Twitter by @kaylaa_nichols, but has since been taken down — perhaps at the request of Bachelor producers?
It certainly appears that Booth is planning on being quite successful on the Bachelorette, or whatever transpires from his time on the show. Fans are always hopeful that a love story will transpire from this long-running reality show, but every season it becomes more evident that people who are cast for both the Bachelor and Bachelorette come on the show to find a career in Hollywood or to promote their businesses.
