It looks like Adam Sandler has a winner on his hands with Jack and Jill, unfortunately for the former SNL cast member that victory is in the way of 11 personal nods for the Razzie Awards, an awards ceremony that hosts the worst movies of the year.
Sandler received the record setting number of nominations for acting in the movie, writing the script and producing the mega-flop.
Putting Sandler’s nods into perspective Eddie Murphy only received five nominations for his work in Norbit.
Sandler didn’t receive all of his node for Jack and Jill (which earned a total of 12 Razzie nominations), he also received nominations for Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star and Just Go With It.
Jack and Jill and Bucky Larson were both also nominated for worst picture alongside New Year’s Eve , Transformers: Dark of the Moon , The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 .
Even super star actor Al Pacino couldn’t avoid the Razzies this year with his role in Jack and Jill also being nominated.
The Razzies winners will be announced on April 1, marking the first time in which the awards are given out after the Oscars telecast.
Hopefully this will end the “guy dressed up as female” roles that are always cringe worthy.
