Tammy Bruce, Conservative Gay Woman, Warns About Bullying Christians Over Indiana’s ‘Religious Freedom’ Law [Video]

The situation over Indiana’s Religious Freedom Reform Act has sparked a war between Evangelical Christians and the LGBT communities, in which the Inquisitr previously reported on it and its after-effects. After the reform was signed into law, Memories Pizza officially became the first business to deny service to the LGBT community. It is their standing that has caused quite an uprising, causing politicians, like Jeb Bush, to change positions on the matter. Eventually, Gov. Mike Pence would sign in an amendment to Indiana’s Religious Freedom Reform Act to end discrimination against the LGBT community.

Despite the situation, many prominent people in the media have made their view known on Indiana’s Religious Freedom Reform Act. Tammy Bruce warned the LGBT community that their methods of opposing Indiana’s Religious Freedom Law is ironic because they are bullying Evangelical Christians. It should also be mentioned that Bruce herself identifies as gay.

According to IJReview and followed up by the Blaze, Conservative talk radio host Tammy Bruce recently appeared on Fox News to discuss her views on Indiana’s Religious Freedom Reform Act. Being that Bruce identifies herself as gay (or bisexual by choice), it would make sense for her to be in support of the LGBT community. However, Tammy Bruce takes a stance that is opposite of what the majority of the LGBT community is supporting as of late.

“If there’s anyone in the world who should understand the vulnerability of being a minority of being somebody that maybe others don’t understand or relate to, the vulnerability about work and jobs, being able to live your life as you see fit, it’s the gay community.

For me to turn around in the 21st century and see that this is what we were fighting for so we could condemn people who are different, and with whom we disagree, is the antithesis of what every civil rights movement was about.”

Summarized, Tammy Bruce is saying that the LGBT community, who were once the oppressed, are now the oppressors. Bruce provided such an example when a coach living in Concord, Indiana, invited Twitter users to “burn down” Memories Pizza simply because they support the Religious Freedom Reform Act.

In conclusion, Tammy Bruce sums up the situation with the LGBT community to that of a mob operation brought about by gay liberals. Instead, the LGBT community should be doing all they can to stop that kind of behavior.

“I think that when you see a mob operating, there’s fear and you tend to retreat. We saw this with Chick-fil-A. Everybody came to Chick-fil-A’s defense when they were under attack by fascists, by bullies … the gay liberals have turned into bullies, when our work is to stop that kind of behavior.”
