If you are wanting to gain Instagram followers, Kim Kardashian has the secret!
If you are new to social media, or even an experienced user, it can sometimes be impossible to gain a following. Thankfully, we have celebs like Mrs. Kardashian that are willing to help us out.
During a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter , Kardashian spilled the beans on how she went about generating her 28 million Instagram followers.
First of all, Kim wanted her fans to know that she does all of her posting herself. She does not have someone dedicated to running her social media sites.
Kardashian revealed five key steps for increasing your followers.
Don’t Think About It Too Much
“I don’t plan it out. If I’m feeling good about myself, and I like my outfit or hair and makeup or contouring, I will share it. Or if I have pictures I just got back from a photo shoot, I’ll share a series. I love a good throwback. There’s so much you can share, but I don’t have a method to it.”
Do It Yourself
“I don’t have help. No one else runs my social media. It’s whatever I feel like posting. From collages and screen grabs and cropping, it’s a whole process, and I do it. I also don’t do filters. I can’t ever figure it out, and I don’t like the way they look, so I’d rather not bother.”
Keep Tabs On Your Family
“Being a big sister, I want to know what’s going on in [my sisters’] lives. I can look on Instagram and be comforted in knowing where Kendall is. My stepdad [Bruce Jenner] has a secret account. He told me that he set it up so he can see what my sisters are doing, too.”
End The Quote Conspiracy
“I don’t follow [other celebs] just because we’re friendly. I only like what inspires me. I don’t like it when people post quotes all the time. I follow accounts of people I don’t know, but I’m inspired by their fashion choices, like The Curvy Fashionista [@mariedenee].”
Refrain From Promoting Products, Promote Yourself
“I try really hard not to promote products — or very rarely. I was obsessed with these waist shapers after I had a baby, so I would put those up. I took a picture with an eyelash product I like. Some people post a couple times a day to promote their products, but I won’t.”
“The girls are very protective of their Instagram accounts because they really enjoy Instagram on a personal level, and they only want to do something that feels good and not like they are trying to sell somebody something — because that’s not the case,” Kim’s mother, and manager, Kris Jenner said during a separate interview with the Hollywood Reporter . “And Kim specifically doesn’t really like to use it for business unless it’s once in a blue moon or if it’s for one of her products. She loves the social side of it and communicating with her fans.”
Apparently, Kim knows what she is talking about, seeing as though she and her siblings — Kourtney, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner — have a combined total of 110.2 million followers on Instagram.
