Jennifer Lawrence And Bradley Cooper Admit To Being Work Spouses
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are seemingly trying to become this generation’s Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy by working together over and over again. But are Lawrence and Cooper also imitating that beloved silver screen duo off-screen by indulging in a steamy love affair?
During an NYC screening of their latest film, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper opened up about their relationship. According to the dynamic duo, they aren’t actually making a conscious effort to get cast together over and again — fate just keeps flinging them together.
“Honestly, it’s just happenstance,” Cooper said, according to Us Weekly. “We both got cast in Silver Linings, and she was going to this other movie and the role was open and so that worked out.”
In addition to Silver Linings Playbook, the pair has appeared together in American Hustle and Serena. According to Vulture, Serena was released straight to VOD, likely because the movie is “a mess” that failed to impress audiences when it was making the rounds on the festival circuit.
Even though their latest movie isn’t going to garner any Oscar buzz, it’s impossible to deny that Bradley Cooper and Jennifer have great chemistry — they even admit that they consider themselves work spouses. However, Lawrence was quick to say that their work marriage doesn’t include any sex.
During a 2013 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bradley Cooper offered an explanation for why he and Jennifer Lawrence are incompatible.
“I could be her father,” Cooper said, according to Us Weekly. Lawrence was 22 years old when 38-year-old Cooper made this comment. That same year, the curly-haired hunk started dating then-20-year-old model Suki Waterhouse. Cooper only has himself to blame for making that relationship seem creepier than it actually was.
As the Inquisitr recently reported, Bradley and Suki recently called it quits. Now that Brad is single, maybe he and Jen should consider becoming more than just work spouses. Bradley obviously likes younger women, and Jennifer has proved that she’s open to dating older men — she was last linked to 38-year-old Coldplay singer Chris Martin. According to Radar Online, Chris was recently spotted spending time with Kate Hudson, and a source revealed that Kate is “making a major play” for Chris. If Jennifer doesn’t want to fight for the rocker’s affection, she might try wooing Bradley instead.
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are going to be spending a lot of time together again, so there’s a chance for sparks to fly between the close friends. According to Patch, the repeat costars are currently shooting the movie Kay’s Baptism, which is also known as Joy. The movie will see Jen and Brad reunite with director David O. Russell and actor Robert De Niro.
Do you think Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper would make a cute real-life couple?
