Holly Madison: Suicide Thoughts Revealed In ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ Tell-All About Hugh Hefner And Bunny Battles

Holly Madison has written a tell-all that, in the words of her book title, takes readers Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny and into the Alice in Wonderland-esque world of Hugh Hefner and the Playboy Mansion, including her dark moments when she considered suicide. From the scary side of life as a Playboy Bunny behind the Looking Glass of that gorgeous estate to the lighter moments, Holly leaves nothing to the imagination, according to Us Weekly.

In her memoir, Madison is candid about the depression that she experienced during her years as a bunny. In addition, in her role as a live-in girlfriend to Hefner, it wasn’t all roses and champagne, emphasizes Holly.

Holly Madison has written a memoir about life “Down The Rabbit Hole” at the Playboy Mansion.

The publisher, Harper Collins, also shared the details of her near-suicide, although the book itself will not be released until June.

“Life inside the notorious Mansion wasn’t a dream at all — and quickly became her nightmare. After losing her identity, her sense of self-worth, and her hope for the future, Holly found herself sitting alone in a bathtub contemplating suicide.”

For Holly, life in the Playboy Mansion came with the requirement that she follow a rigid routine and details rules. She also found herself battling with other girls in the house.

Now 35, Holly has become best known for living with Hefner, Kendra Wilkinson, and Bridget Marquardt, portrayed in the TV reality series, The Girls Next Door.

Although that TV show displaying the antics of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends lasted for five seasons, Holly contends that it’s not until now that her fans can really know her.

“I’m excited to finally share my story and what I’ve learned from my personal experiences both inside and outside of the Playboy Mansion. I think my stories will surprise people and I’m looking forward to lifting the veil of mystique and clearing up the misconceptions so often associated with my life.”

But Madison has changed since those Girls Next Door days, reports Contact Music.

Married to Pasquale Rotella in a Disneyland wedding ceremony, Holly is the mom of daughter Rainbow, now a toddler. She’s also competed in Dancing with the Stars.

Holly isn’t the only Girl Next Door who’s become a mom. As the Inquisitr reported, Kendra Wilkinson also became a mom and participated in another reality TV show, Australia’s I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!.

In addition, the former Playboy model earned $500,000 in six months by stripping. Kendra defended her decision by saying that she was becoming true to her inner free spirit.
