A Miamisburg, Ohio woman asked a neighbor not to park in her handicap parking spot at her apartment complex. The hateful response she got from the neighbor is downright shocking.
WKEF (Dayton) reports that Ashley Brady, 26, lost her leg in an accident in 2014. She learned to walk again with the use of a prosthetic limb, but still struggles with snow, ice, and the three-story climb to her apartment. So she asked the management of her apartment complex to create a handicap parking spot that she could use.
“I struggled a lot across the snow and ice in the parking lot trying to learn how to balance and walk. I fell multiple times all of which my neighbors have seen.”
Just last week, she reports, her apartment complex gave her a handicap spot; but no sooner did the blue paint dry than an apathetic neighbor park in it.
“I finally get my handicapped parking spot last Thursday (March 12,2015) and then I come home on Saturday and they’re parking in my parking spot.”
Ashley left a note asking the neighbor to not park in her handicap spot . It’s not clear what she said – Ashley has only said that she was “stern” and “confident” and let the neighbor know that she doesn’t know what it’s like to walk on one leg, according to UPI .
The note the neighbor left on Ashley’s car in response left the disabled woman in shock.
“Hey handicap! First, never place your hands on my car again! Second, honey you ain’t the only one with ‘struggles.’ You want pity go to a one leg support group! You messed with the wrong one! I don’t care what your note said shove it, but you touch my car again I will file a report, I am not playing! I let the office know the cry baby one leg touches my property I will cause trouble so go cry your struggles to someone who cares cause I’m walking away with both mine! -B***h.”
The disabled woman shared the note on Facebook, hoping to publicly shame the offending neighbor. The photo has gained over a thousand “Likes” and “Shares” on Facebook, as of this post. She also complained to her apartment complex’s management, and has filed a complaint with the police.
As of this post, the neighbor who left the angry note about the handicap parking spot has not been publicly identified.
