Christie Codd and her husband, Joseph J.T. Codd, are dead, and the local police have arrested the missing Leicester couple’s neighbor Robert Jason Owens, 36, for murder. Details are still sketchy and police have not indicated whether they have found the bodies of the missing couple, nor how the deaths occurred.
Thirty-eight-year-old Christie Schoen Codd and 45-year old J.T. Codd were reported missing after family members were unable to make contact with them at their home on Sunday. Police were dispatched to the home located on Hookers Gap Road in Asheville, North Carolina, but found only two dogs and the couple’s cars. People who knew them say that they would never leave the dogs unattended and would never go without making contact with family members, according to WYFF.
An all out search was performed by air and by ground. Family members told investigators that Christie Schoen Codd was pregnant. Neighbors say they didn’t know the couple well since they traveled often.
