By most accounts, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has taken to life behind bars like a “duck to water,” and as well as her strict workout routine in the Danbury gym, Teresa has also reportedly been allowed to watch plenty of TV as she is on her best behavior.
While Giudice serves her 15-month sentence for charges relating to fraud, her husband Joe will be facing a much longer prison sentence just as soon as Teresa Giudice gets home to look after the couple’s four daughters.
According to an insider, who spoke to The New York Daily Times , Teresa has been watching shows like Empire and Scandal with a couple of her new inmate buddies, and she also reportedly follows the Real Housewives of Atlanta .
As the source claimed, “She is watching Empire and Scandal with two other inmates. She is also watching ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta,’” the insider said.
On top of that, Giudice has reportedly landed herself what’s know as a “preferred job”while incarcerated and is working the prison kitchens, cooking up a storm with whatever ingredients she can find.
The source told the publication, “She’s not in the laundry [as had been incorrectly reported], she’s in the kitchen cooking.”
The source also claimed that Teresa Giudice is receiving a bunch of fan mail while inside, with letters from well-wishers who want to give their favorite RHONJ star some moral support in prison.
As the source added, “She [is reading] them. She isn’t writing back though, she doesn’t have the time.”
Teresa Giudice has reportedly been emailing her four daughters though, something she always makes sure she has time to do. Giudice’s girls have visited her a number of times, along with their dad, since Teresa started her jail sentence on January 5.
For her part, Teresa is expected to be released early in order to be home for Christmas; by then, she will have served 85 percent of her sentence.
