Taylor Swift did something pretty amazing for a heartbroken fan – she created a breakup playlist.
Hollywood Life reports that the 24-year-old Blank Space singer was able to offer the playlist to cheer up a fan on Tumblr since she recently suffered a painful breakup herself.
Considering her infamous history of dating (and breakups), Taylor Swift could probably become one of the most sought-after relationship experts. Therefore, it’s not surprising that a recently heartbroken fan would reach out to her for advice through Tumblr.
Apparently, Kasey (one of Taylor’s biggest fans) reached out to her through the social media platform after her boyfriend dumped her via text message. She didn’t know what else to do besides try to contact Swift.
Surprisingly, Taylor Swift actually wrote back to her saddened fan, responding to her cry for help.
“It’s so devastating to come to terms with speaking of someone in past tense when you used to see them as your present and your future. But think about what he said. It will take a while for you to get those words out of your head.”
That honest yet profound message speaks volumes in itself – and could even be turned into an impressive lyric for one of Taylor’s next songs.
However, Taylor did not stop there. She also offered an amazing playlist that could be used to help Kasey move on to the next chapter of her life.

As if Taylor Swift offering a fan this type of playlist isn’t amazing enough, the fact that she did not add any of her own songs to the list says a lot as well.
In an interview with BuzzFeed , Kasey opened up about how she felt about being able to have that type of interaction with Taylor Swift herself. Kasey explained how Taylor’s message provides her with an ongoing source of comfort whenever sadness and loneliness creep their ugly heads back into her life.
“Anytime I start to feel alone or sad about the breakup, I have her advice saved in my phonebook and I look at it. And in my head, go Taylor Swift cares about me so I’m going to stay strong.”
For years, Taylor has been criticized heavily for her history of failed relationships. The singer even found a clever way to find humor in the criticism in the lyrics of her hit song, “ Shake It Off .”
Perhaps the fact that many of Taylor Swift’s fans are able find comfort in her music when suffering with the same type of history explains why she is such a big star.
