RHOBH season five hasn’t painted Kim Richards in the best light. Last week, the recovering addict appeared to have relapsed during a cast poker party, and later in the scene, fans discovered she had taken pain pills.
Now, Richards is being faced with backlash over her decision to take the drugs.
After the latest episode of RHOBH season five aired, a woman named Darcy Hayford expressed her concern for Richards.
“I was so disappointed when U took those pills but I understand it’s a disease I wish U well & U R in my prayers, Kim!”
In response, Richards tweeted the following.
“Thank u Darcy looking back..? Me too!! But I honestly had a reason! I did nothing I shouldn’t have! Nothing u wouldn’t have!”
As fans of the show will recall, Richards has dealt with addiction issues for years, so taking pain pills doesn’t seem like the smartest decision on her part — especially considering she claimed it was her ex-husband who gave her the pills.
Last week, as the Inquisitr reported, Richards insisted she did not relapse during RHOBH season five in her blog .
“Before the poker party took place, I had been struggling with bronchitis and pneumonia for weeks. I went to the doctor several times because I was in so much pain, so I really was in no shape to go to the spa day or poker night. And I definitely didn’t want to go out when Monty came back to the house before poker night after being gone for a couple days. I just wanted to stay at home with him, but I had to go to Eileen’s with the girls.”
At the party, Richards’s sister, Kyle, pulled her aside wanting to know what was causing her strange behavior. During their chat, Richards explained that she had taken pain pills to treat her symptoms.
“I took the pain medication from Monty thinking it can get me through the pain I was experiencing. Little did I know, it just made me kind of out of it! But seriously, if I knew the medication was going to affect me in a negative way, I would have NEVER taken it. Careless decision on my part—lesson learned!”
Hopefully, Richards truly has learned her lesson and won’t be so careless in the future.
