Chris Brown Going To Jail? Probation Officer Wants Him To Serve Time

Singer Chris Brown might be heading back to jail in the very near future.

TMZ reported on Thursday that the 25-year-old singer had his probation revoked partly because of his presence at two separate nightclubs that became shooting crime scenes.

According to the report, officials are also concerned about additional shootings and apparently believe that Chris Brown should serve time in jail.

When the “Loyal” singer appeared in court for a progress report on Thursday, the judge mentioned that there were several problems with his probation report. One of the problems was the fact that the San Jose shooting, which occurred last Sunday during Chris’ performance on stage, was referenced.

Even though Chris was able to walk away from that crime scene without a scratch, five other people were reportedly injured.

While reviewing the probation report in court, the judge also identified the shooting which occurred at 1OAK during the week of last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Several people, including Suge Knight, were shot at that event — a shooting which Chris Brown was able to walk away from once again without any injuries.

Although there is no evidence that connects Chris Brown to either of the shootings, the fact that these issues were addressed in his probation report still raises concern.

The probation officer personally feels that the welfare of the people that attend Chris Brown’s public events are at risk.

“There is also concern that when he performs or attends at some of his public events, people will get shot or seriously injured.”

Brown’s history of probation violations presents another reason why the probation was revoked. The Stomp the Yard actor was arrested on two separate occasions while still on probation — one time for throwing a rock at his mother’s car while he was in rehab and another time for an assault which occurred in Washington, D.C.

During a group meeting in rehab, Chris Brown also reportedly made comments about guns and knives.

TMZ reports that the probation officer feels that Chris is paying too much attention to his career and not enough to his rehabilitation and community service requirements.

Based on these factors in addition to the singer showing “a pattern of making choices that are counterproductive,” his probation officer recommended to the judge that Chris serve time in jail.

A formal hearing will be held by the judge on March 20 to determine whether or not Chris Brown “willfully” violated his probation. If so, he could face some serious consequences — including a lengthy jail sentence — for those felony charges.
