Giada De Laurentiis: Food Network Chef Denies Sexual Affair With Matt Lauer And Bobby Flay

Giada De Laurentiis says she never cheated on her husband with several high profile celebrities, and the stories circulating on The Net that she had a sexual relationship with Matt Lauer, Bobby Flay, and John Mayer are completely untrue. Page Six is reporting today that Giada De Laurentiis is adamant that the rumors are absolutely false, and her relationship with Matt Lauer and Bobby Flay is only a friendship.

Days ago, Inquisitr reported that Giada De Laurentiis was divorcing her husband, Todd Thompson, after 11 years of marriage. News that the couple was ending their marriage was announced on her Facebook page just before the year’s end. Two days prior to the Facebook announcement, Giada was spotted with Bobby Flay at an elaborate holiday dinner party.

“After an amicable separation since July, Todd and I have decided to end our marriage. Although our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family’s happiness has given us the strength to move forward on separate, yet always connected paths. Todd and I share a beautiful daughter and a lifetime of great memories that we both treasure more than anything. We are so thankful for our friends and family, and really appreciate the support in this time of change.”

The cheating rumors about Giada De Laurentiis and John Mayer started in 2010, when a report surfaced in the popular tabloid Star, where it was stated that someone had seen the television personality and the singer escape into a hotel room in New York during the Food And Wine Festival. Reps for the Everyday Italian chef, came out swinging, stating that Giada never saw John Mayer there, and it was a downright shame that Star had to resort to telling lies to sell their rag mag.

Then, two years ago, Page Six reported that the Food Network Chef had been seen having a cozy dinner with Matt Lauer. Giada De Laurentiis says that it was only a dinner between friends.

“My long-time friendships with my co-workers Matt Lauer and Bobby Flay are exactly that — long-time friendships.”

When Laurentiis got her big break on the Food Network, most men liked her because she had a beautiful smile and brought a sexy vibe to the kitchen and her Italian cooking. Some say there is more to Giada than the smile that you see on television, and that her eyes are more telling. Stories of Giada’s diva-like behavior have haunted her for years—dating back to her Le Cordon Bleu training days.
