Playstation 4 Brings The Hype With 15 For ’15 Video

Sony is hyping the Playstation 4 with a brand new video titled “15 for ’15.” The video shows off a number of new games that are coming either as a timed exclusive or a total exclusive this year. While the timing of the video probably has nothing to do with the problems faced by Playstation 4 users who saw the PSN network get hacked over the holidays, it will put the focus back on the positives of the Playstation 4.

As Game Debate points out, the “15 for ’15” video shows a rather promising lineup for the Playstation 4, whether talking about AAA titles or downloadable indies. There seems to be something for everyone who owns a Playstation 4, including some games that were much hyped during 2014. Sony clearly wants to remind people that games like The Order: 1886 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End are still on the way.

One of the more intriguing AAA titles on the horizon still has to be a game Sony originally envisioned for the PS3. Instead, Until Dawn will finally make its debut in 2015 on the Playstation 4. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the video is that the company seems to be hyping its indie developer titles such as Rime and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture right alongside games like Bloodborne.

It seems as though in this regard, Sony is continuing a dedication to the independent developers it first started with the Vita. Now the Playstation 4 is going to be bringing quite a few games that people have been able to play on their PCs, like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter on the current generation console. As a matter of fact, most of the games that are going to either be exclusive or timed exclusives will not be AAA titles.

The video does a very good job of showing off some of the most anticipated Playstation 4 titles like No Man’s Sky, but it also attempts to get people interested in titles they may not have heard of, such as The Tomorrow Children, The Witness, Volume, Hollow Point, Fat Princess Adventures, and Alienation. There is also one sequel to a game that had originally been a PS Vita exclusive making its console debut in 2015. Tearaway: Unfolded is the follow to the Vita hit Tearaway.

The good news for Sony and its fans is that while there are 15 exclusives coming to its console, it will also take advantage of titles like Batman: Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3 hitting stores as well. Sony hopes all this is setting the Playstation 4 up for a very big year.
