Nikki Reed Divorce Final: ‘Twilight’ Star Starts 2015 With The End Off Her Marriage

Nikki Reed’s divorce from American Idol singer Paul McDonald is final. TMZ reported that Nikki and Paul’s divorce is official, and Nikki walked away from the marriage with a number of items. Nikki now owns three of the couple’s homes, three of their cars, and she kept their dog, a German shepherd named Enzo.

What did McDonald keep in divorce settlement? According to the news outlet, the man kept their home in Nashville, Tennessee. The court documents did not reveal if Paul kept any vehicles for himself. The home was the largest asset mentioned. Nikki and Paul announced the end of their marriage in March 2014, but the former couple has remained close friends. They have released an album of duets together, and they will continue to work together on music in the future.

Nikki has moved on from her marriage with a new man though. Not along her split from McDonald was announced, the actress began dating Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder. The couple now lives together in Atlanta, where the CW series is filmed.

Ian and Nikki’s relationship has caused some tension on set. Several reports claimed that Nikki’s presence on set caused problems for Nina Dobrev. These reports first popped up over the summer.

Ian and Nikki have not let the gossip and tabloids interfere with their relationship though. The Inquisitr reported earlier this week that Ian and Nikki spent the holidays together in Idaho with her brother. The couple enjoyed some fun in the show, and they did not mind showing off the fun they had on their Instagram accounts.

Nikki captioned a video she shared on Instagram with a sweet message.

“My brother and my love all in one day, on one mountain- I’m so overwhelmed by all of the beauty that surrounds us.”

The couple was back in Los Angeles for New Year’s Eve though. Mail Online shared photos of the actress out for a run with her dog. She was not alone for long. Ian soon joined her on the run.

The couple seemed to be inseparable in Los Angeles. They were seen together at various locations, and Nikki and Ian were not shy about showing off their love. Mail Online shared the following about their outings.

“Just the night before, he and Nikki, 26, had a romantic date night in Downtown Los Angeles, where they watched the Lakers play against the Phoenix Suns, but the lovestruck pair could barely keep an eye on the basketball game, too busy canoodling to pay close attention.”

With Nikki’s divorce from Paul finalized, some are wondering if Nikki and Ian will marry soon. This couple has not been slow about their romance, so it is possible. Fans will need to wait and see if wedding bells ring for this pair in 2015.
