The Perry and Swift feud all started when Swift released the song “Bad Blood” on her recent album 1989. Swift explained to Rolling Stone about the singer who was the “target” of her song. She said that the song, rumored to be about Perry, is the “angriest” song on her album:

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” she says. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'” Then last year, the other star crossed a line. “She did something so horrible,” Swift says. “I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

Katy obviously didn’t like what she read in the Rolling Stone interview. The next day the interview came out, she tweeted this cryptic message:

Swift and Perry haven’t yet their confirmed their feud but it’s obvious that there’s “Bad Blood” there. The feud started when Swift said that Perry allegedly stole her back-up dancers. Three of Perry’s back-up dancers from her California Dreams Tour left in the middle of Swift’s Red Tour to join Perry’s Prismatic World Tour.

Not only that, but Katy started dating singer-songwriter John Mayer in 2012. John was one of Taylor’s infamous ex-boyfriends, from 2009 to 2010. Katy and Taylor appeared to be good friends at the time, until she stole Taylor’s back-up dancers and started dating John. Katy’s current boyfriend Diplo has also been attacking Taylor on Twitter these past few months. There seems to be more to the story than Taylor let on in her interview.

Speaking of world tours, Perry gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her highly anticipated Prism World Tour. According to a recent report on the Inquisitr, the tour has 130 shows in 90 cities before it ends in March 2015. Perry will also be getting ready to perform at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show.
