New Transformers 5 rumors have risen, and could spark others as well. The latest of them includes the possible Transformers 5 cast additions of Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis.
It has been a subject of jokes that “The Rock” is one of those actors they add to bring more people into the theater, and this rumor could only spread it. Originally added to The Mummy Returns as the scorpion king (a badly rendered monster, anyway), Johnson has since proven that he can revive almost any franchise by starring in it. The WWE wrestler has the charisma to even make bad movies watchable, like the critically slammed G.I. Joe: Retaliation .
Johnson was added to the Fast and Furious franchise, and gave it a fresh burst of adrenaline as he threw down with Vin Diesel in a fight which literally broke walls.
Some might say that Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis could be setting up a crossover with G.I. Joe in Transformers 5 . Rumors have been swirling around that idea for a while now, and it would make sense if they’re true.
The departure of Michael Bay from directorial duties has already been a shocking turn, taking Mark Wahlberg with him, as previously reported by the Inquisitr . It has been suggested that Bay’s absence might bring back series veterans Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, and breathe new life into the story about robots in disguise.
The loss of Mark Wahlberg has been attributed to him claiming he never makes sequels, but that hasn’t stopped him from starring in Ted 2 .
It has also been rumored that a new group of Autobots and Decepticons are on their way, including Ultra Magnus and Cyclonus, possibly paving the way for a Unicron endowed finale.

Aside from the Transformers G.I. Joe crossover, other possibilities for the addition of “The Rock” and Bruce Willis could be as voice actors, following the lead of John Goodman as Hound, and Leonard Nimoy’s second role as Sentinel Prime (his first was Galvatron in the animated film). These Transformers 5 rumors, if true, could make the Transformers franchise as populated with surprise voice acting as any Pixar film.
The two actors could also simply have a cameo to set up the Transformers G.I. Joe crossover as Earth defends itself from another new villain, only to be revealed as “a military task force.” So far all we have is Lorenzo di Bonventura ‘s hint at the crossover.
