Solange Knowles Marries Alan Ferguson And Shows That The Internet Can Be Broken With Style
Solange Knowles tied the knot with her video director and music producer beau, Alan Ferguson, in New Orleans on Sunday. And the stunning photos from her wedding have been flooding social media ever since — and will, undoubtedly, be up on Pinterest boards as a source of future wedding inspiration.
A week following photos of Kim Kardashian’s greased butt (and other parts) which was set to “break the internet,” Solange’s photos show a more aesthetic and stylish way to do it.

Twenty eight year-old Solange and 51 year-old Ferguson celebrated their nuptials with around 200 close friends and family — including big sister Beyoncé, brother-in-law Jay Z, niece Blue Ivy, mother Tina Knowles, and son Daniel Julez.
Celebrity guests who attended were singer Janelle Monae, and musician friends Kelela, Questlove, and Kindness, who performed at the reception.
“Everyone I worked with on the wedding are friends who I love,” said Solange via email Vogue. “Everything was a labor of love.”
In addition to leaving the traditional wedding gown behind, Solange also opted to arrive at the wedding in the Bywater district of the city on a white-painted bicycle decorated with cream roses.
The bride was said to have walked down the aisle to one of the couple’s favorite songs, a symphonic instrumental of Donny Hathaway’s, “I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry.” And there was even an adorable dance duet with Knowles and her 10-year-old son to “No Flex Zone.”
According to Vogue, Solange’s ivory toned pantsuit with plunging neckline and cape was designed by Stephane Rolland. And her walk down the aisle was in a long column dress by Humberto Leon for Kenzo, which also had a flowing cape.
The groom, along with guests and other members of the wedding party, commemorated the event in white attire.
Unfortunately, after leaving the final venue of the evening, Solange was photographed with hives all across her face and neck in the backseat of a chauffeured car with Beyoncé covering her sister’s face with a white coat jacket.
The incident, however, did not seem to put a damper on the overall weekend – which began on Friday with a pre-wedding party at New Orleans’ Indywood Cinema.
