Fans are mourning the end of Sons of Anarchy , which comes in just three more episodes, but Tommy Flanagan has already landed another intriguing role. The actor has played Chibs for the past seven seasons, but now he’s headed to a big network show for an interesting new role. What’s the scoop?
TVLine reports the Revenge spoilers that Tommy Flanagan will play the character of Malcolm Black. This character will first pop up in the midseason premiere for Season 4.
While the return date for the show has yet to be revealed, it should be back in early 2015. The fall finale airs on Sunday, December 7. In the show’s previous seasons, the break between the fall finale and winter premiere was very short, just a matter of a few weeks, so fans will definitely be hoping for the same in this case.
Just who is Malcolm Black? Tommy Flanagan’s role will be that of a “high-functioning psychopath with a long memory for those who have crossed him.” Black will be a cold, calculating and self-made man who lets nothing stand in his way when it comes to protecting his fortune and his family. Fans should prepare to see Flanagan as a dangerous and powerful villain, based on the tidbits released so far.
How will Malcolm Black factor in to the happenings on the show? Who is he tied to and how long will he be around? Fans will have to stay tuned for Revenge spoilers on that front. Flanagan himself tweeted this past week that he was on the set filming, and that it was a cool bunch of people there. Sounds like he’s fitting in well already.
Revenge spoilers tied to the fall finale, the Season 4, Episode 10 show titled “Atonement,” indicate that things are going to get very wild during the middle of this season. Show writer Ted Sullivan teased that “Atonement” is one of the biggest episodes in Revenge lore, and he added hashtags “who knew” and “yikes.” He also tagged Gabriel Mann, Emily VanCamp, Nick Wechsler, and Karine Vanasse in his teaser tweet. That means that whatever is going down, Nolan, Emily, Jack, and Margaux seem to be in the thick of it all.
Will the shocking Season 4, Episode 10 show set up the introduction of Flanagan’s character Malcolm Black? It seems it may, and fans can’t wait to see it all play out. While Sons of Anarchy fans are still in denial that Chibs and the rest will be gone soon, they will certainly be curious to tune in and check out Tommy Flanagan’s role in Revenge this winter.
