While some people were sad when they heard the news that Bruce and Kris Jenner were divorcing after 22 years of marriage, others were thrilled, and Bruce’s own mother, Esther, certainly falls into the second category.
Esther, aged 88, told OK! magazine that as well as being “delighted” that her son and Kris divorced, she hopes that she, “changes her name back to Kardashian,” in order for there to be total closure for the pair.
For her part, Bruce’s Mom thinks the split couldn’t have come sooner, and pointed out a number of flaws she saw in Kris over the years, “Kris is domineering: it’s her way, or there’s no way. She can insult you with a big smile on her face. I don’t think she treated anybody very well,” she said.
On top of that, Esther also told the publication that Kris’ general contempt filtered down to Kris’ daughters, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian who, according to Esther. were never, “interested in having a conversation” with her.
Esther apparently wasn’t a big fan either of Kris Jenner’s parenting skills either, recalling how when Kendall and Kylie were young children, “Kris was always running out to eat with her girlfriends, and she left Bruce to take care of the babies.”
Bruce Jenner is apparently doing great since his split from Kris , as his mom told OK! , Bruce is “ecstatically happy right now” and “seems like himself again.”
Back in the day, Esther recalls, Kris often badmouthed her husband right in front of his kids, as he, “would be sitting right there like he didn’t hear a word.” As Esther said, “I don’t know why he didn’t speak up — maybe because she tries to control everything.”
There’s little doubt that the divorce between Bruce and Kris Jenner was a good thing, as their marriage clearly ran its course over the passage of time, as Bruce looks to the future and Kris reportedly finds love in the most unlikely places.
