Is Nina Dobrev considering quitting The Vampire Diaries because she’s uncomfortable with her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder’s new relationship with Nikki Reed?
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry , Nina Dobrev has to finish out the rest of The Vampire Diaries season 6, but after that her contract is up for renewal, and she could walk if she wanted to.
The reason that Nina Dobrev may want to leave the super popular CW series is because her ex-boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, who plays hunky vampire Damon Salvatore, has a new leading lady in his life. Ian has been dating Twilight actress Nikki Reed, and she’s allegedly been causing some tension on The Vampire Diaries set.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder dated for over two years, and when they finally split in 2013, things were really good between them. Nina and Ian were friendly, had no trouble working together, and even enjoyed spending time together socially after their break up.
However, once Nina Dobrev started to move on in the romance department, and was linked to some of Hollywood’s hottest heartthrobs such as Liam Hemsworth, Orlando Bloom, and James Marsden, Ian decided to move on as well.
The only problem with Somerhalder’s new relationship is that not only is Nikki Reed Nina Dobrev’s former close friend, but she seems to be hanging out on The Vampire Diaries set a little too much for Dobrev’s liking.
According to a report by The Christian Post , Nina Dobrev is unhappy with the amount of PDA that Ian Somerhalder has been showing with Nikki Reed. It’s apparently making Nina very uncomfortable, and she’s having a hard time working under the circumstances.
However, Nikki Reed may be uncomfortable as well. Nikki knows that Nina and Ian had a serious relationship that was very special, and the fact that they play love interests on The Vampire Diaries could leave Reed feeling insecure and jealous over the two working together.
