Robert Zimmerman Says George Zimmerman Shooting Trayvon Martin Makes Him The Next Kim Kardashian
George Zimmerman might be infamous for the shooting of Trayvon Martin, but his brother, Robert Zimmerman, thinks that is a good thing. The Zimmerman family is hoping to transform George into a reality TV star similar to Kim Kardashian, but why would anyone watch Keeping Up with the Zimmermans?
In a related report by The Inquisitr, George Zimmerman had a road rage incident where he reportedly threatened to kill another driver on the road, and allegedly stalked the man to his workplace. A controversial Trayvon Martin cartoon equated efforts to impeach President Obama to being like George Zimmerman.
The craziness of “Brand Z” is what Robert Zimmerman believes would make a great reality TV show. After all, Kim Kardashian transformed a sex tap into a career as the target of celebrity gossip that continues to be fed by Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It’s hoped that the real-life drama now experienced by all members of the Zimmerman family may be enough to interest a pretty interesting demographic.
The real reason that the Zimmermans need to transform notoriety into cash is because they’re pretty much dead broke. George Zimmerman owes millions in legal fees, and is essentially homeless. Robert Zimmerman says the rest of the family had to go into hiding due to death threats. His inability to find work is due to their now-infamous name.
The “Brand Z” concept has Robert saying, “I learn a lot from watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Like, use the s**t you’ve got.”
In this case, what they’ve got is the idea that George could “punk” unsuspecting self-defense instructors. The family life is also strange enough for a reality TV show. Robert still sleeps with a gun, and the family started using CIA-like code names based upon watching movies. There’s even a little bit of Doomsday Preppers in the mix since they have “go-bags” ready to prepare for an attack on the house. They even mimic President Obama’s nuclear football by creating an emergency stash filled with laptops, cell phones, and other electronics they’ll need to grab if they rush out the door.
The personal lives of the Zimmerman family can get crazy enough for reality TV show based upon Robert’s description. He claims he had a “surreal night of drinking” where he was hanging out with a female cable news reporters and the U.S. Navy SEAL who shot Osama bin Laden. Zimmerman says he ended up rolling in the sheets with the news reporters, and almost had sex with her “until his bracelet got caught in her hair.” What makes this a reality TV moment is that Robert Zimmerman is gay.
Besides a reality TV show, Robert Zimmerman told GQ he is proposing creating a line of home security products aimed at women with names like the Z Bar, the Z Rock, and the Z Beam.
“They all start with Z,” Zimmerman said. “There’s the Z Bar, the Z Rock, and the Z Beam. They’re all targeted to women. One is to secure sliding doors. One is to put in the front door. The light is to carry and is designed by George. It has a little alarm — you know, ‘Help me, help me!'”
Unfortunately, Keeping Up with the Zimmermans is unlikely to have a happy ending. Robert Zimmerman believes they’re likely to live in fear for the rest of their lives due to George’s notoriety and the continuing popularity of Trayvon Martin as a civil rights icon.
“I understand you may consider us uncooperative or somewhat paranoid. We live with a situation that cannot easily be imagined. We have known the results when various individuals have realized one of us is a Zimmerman,” he said.
George Zimmerman’s father, Bob, also says the family fears George will be charged with a federal civil right violation for killing Trayvon Martin. If that ever occurs, Zimmerman says, “He’s worried that if FBI agents come and kick in his door, he’s probably gonna shoot a few of them.”
