Madonna To Perform At Super Bowl 2012 Halftime Show [Rumor]

The web is abuzz with rumors that singer and pop icon Madonna will take over the Super Bowl 2012 Halftime show.

Madonna would follow such acts at The Who, Prince and Bruce Springsteen as a halftime performer. One thing is for certain her performance would likely be far superior to last years show by the Black Eyed Peas which was panned by critics and even true fans of the group.

At this time representatives for both Madonna and the NFL are not responding to the rumor which makes it all the more likely to be true.

With Madonna’s followup to 2008’s Hard Candy expected to drop early next year it would be the perfect time for the performer to sing in front of TV’s largest audience, especially with dancers already being hired and a world tour being staged.

If Madonna does perform she will be at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the big show on February 5.

Will you be tuning into the halftime show to see what Madonna can bring to the Super Bowl if the rumor turns out to be true? Who would you like to see performing during the Super Bowl 2012 halftime show?
