Kendall Jenner may owe her fame to her spotlight-happy family, but the 18-year-old is reportedly ready to leave the Kardashians behind as she pursues a career in fashion.
Kendall was recently seen in Paris going on a low-key shopping trip, and surprisingly none of her famous sisters were present. Kendall reportedly had a number of work meetings in the city, and meanwhile the Kardashians were halfway around the world to film their reality show in the Hamptons.
While the Kardashian sisters have formed a reality television empire, Kendall Jenner seems to be making her own way in the entertainment industry. Her stature in the modeling world has increased greatly in the past year, and she’s done shows for Chanel and Marc Jacobs.

Most recently she was announced as one of the new faces of Givenchy, starring in the latest campaign alongside Mariacarla Boscono and Julia Nobis shot by top fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Her connection with Givenchy was already established back in February though when she walked in the label’s couture show in Paris.
Kendall was spotted earlier this month hanging out and doing a spot of shopping with good friend Hailey Baldwin in New York, perhaps picking up a few items for her Parisian trip.
Kendall’s success has reportedly caused some friction in the famous family. Sources have said that Kendall’s 16-year-old sister, Kylie, is planning to drop $85,000 for plastic surgery to look like her older sister.
“Kylie’s such a pretty girl, but she’s found it difficult that her sister Kendall’s modelling career has taken off so much more than hers,” an insider told Hea t Magazine . “Kendall is a natural born model. Kylie says she’s happy for her but, behind the scenes, all her friends know she’s jealous.”
The report went on to say that Kylie idolizes Kendall, and has the support of older sister Kim Kardashian in getting the work done.
Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner has been seen taking in Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. It’s not known yet if she will be appearing in any shows or is just there as a spectator.
