Chris Martin No Longer A Vegetarian After Split From Gwyneth Paltrow

Sounds like Chris Martin’s vegetarianism was just about saving face with Gwyneth Paltrow. The Coldplay frontman recently admitted that he’s no longer a vegetarian now that he split from Paltrow. In fact, Martin claims that he will eat any meat that he can kill himself, so that’s going from one extreme to another.

During his radio interview with BBC Radio 2’s Steve Wright, Chris elaborated on his newfound anti-vegetarianism stance. “I’d kill a fish. Not a giraffe.”

In addition to admitting that he’s changed his views on his diet, Chris Martin also vaguely talked about how the new album saved him during his split from Gwyneth Paltrow, who he’s been with for ten years.

“You can choose your paths in life, I find, when you get to a point where you’re like, ‘I could either jump off a bridge or I could try and turn this around.’ I’m sure lots of people have that in much harder instances. You just find the right tools.”

Martin added:

“I feel so grateful. Especially over the last couple of years, music has been alchemising. Going through something difficult in your life, music for me is always a friend and something that helps you to figure things out.”

As for his relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow, neither has filed for divorce since the couple announced that they were “consciously uncoupling” after their ten years together. This made us question whether or not Martin and Paltrow actually had plans to split. As we previously reported, the couple were still living together in their California home.

According to E! News, the pair are “both still living there and spending weekends together at their new house in Malibu. They both do a lot of business travel, and so there are times when one of them will have the house to themselves. But if they are both in town, they both stay there.”

Despite the nonchalance of the E! report, a source told The Mirror that the pair are still really connected, despite those reports that Martin was involved with Alexa Chung.

“Chris still lives with her, they are amazingly lovely-dovey together, and she still wears her wedding ring. They may have consciously uncoupled a few months ago — but they seem to be recoupling now. No one will be surprised if they get back together.”

While both sides of the story seem very convincing, we wonder what Paltrow thinks of Martin’s newfound love of meat.
