Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis might not be dating, but the two are making future plans together. According to an announcement made on Twitter, the Dancing With The Stars partners will be participating in Shall We Dance On Ice in December. From the sounds of the announcement, Meryl will be “dancing” with her ice skating partner (and fellow Olympic gold medalist), Charlie White, while Maks will be participating in the event with DWTS pro, Sharna Burgess. However, since each dance pro was the other’s partner on DWTS , it is possible — and likely — that they will switch partners at some point during the event.
See? Maks wasn’t lying when he tweeted that he would dance with Meryl again!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Sharna Burgess are listed as “ special guests ” in the event announcement on the Disson Skating website. Other event participants include 2010 U.S. Olympic team members Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto, 2002 Olympic gold medalists and six-time French champions Marina Anissina and Gwendal Peizerat, and many more. Kristi Yamaguchi and Edward Villella will serve as hosts for the evening.
The event will be filled with amazing dancing and ice skating complimented by great music and fun special effects:
“This event will showcase a journey of dance through the ages with dancing and skating. Music and special effects will create the segments of time and genre of dance, which will be performed by dancers and transition into elegant productions on the ice.”
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis won the Mirror Ball Trophy on the last season of Dancing With The Stars. As previously reported by The Inquisitr , fans really want Maks and Meryl to take their friendship to the next level, but their relationship has sort of just lingered since the show wrapped. The couple has not seen one another in over a month, but it seems more than clear that they are still in touch — given the fact that they will be doing this event together months from now.
