Britney Spears has been in the news headlines again recently, regarding rumors of a potential split between her and boyfriend of 15 months, David Lucado.
A source revealed to MailOnline that the rumors aren’t actually true and that Spears and Lucado are still going strong: “It’s not true, he’s just away at the moment, and they’re still a couple,” the source said.
Yesterday X17 was among the websites which started the rumor of a breakup between the couple, writing: “Britney and David split a while ago. Britney’s been focusing on her boys after the break up.”
However, on Saturday the pair were seen out to lunch together in Thousand Oaks and it seemed to be “business as usual,” among some long drinks and lots of food.
The Britney Spears rumors carry even less weight if you consider the way she gushed about Lucado to Entertainment Tonight last year , soon after she got together with him:
“I’m in love. I like the fact that [Lucado is] very stubborn and he’s stuck in his ways. He’s just a simple man. I adore him,. He’s really funny and he’s really passionate. I love the fact that anything he’s involved in he’s passionate about and it’s contagious.”
So just because Britney was pictured, by eager photogs on a solo shopping trip to a grocery shop on Wedneday, near her home in L.A., that doesn’t mean she has split with her boyfriend.
Will the tabloid press stop at nothing for a story?
As well as her busy work schedule, Britney Spears still seems to find plenty of time for David and, of course, for her two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
The pop legend shared a cute picture via social media last weekend of her with her sons, adding the caption: “What’s up summer!!! Where are my sunglasses when I need them? Lol.”
