‘Jurassic World’: Behind The Scenes With Chris Pratt And Bryce Dallas Howard
Is Jurassic World ready for Chris Pratt’s abs? Pratt, who will be known as a bonafide Hollywood hunk once Guardians of the Galaxy drops into theaters, is rebooting another popular franchise with Jurassic World.
In tip top shape from his Galaxy days, Chris Pratt sat down with Jenna Bush Hager of the Today show in New Orleans, where the popular movie is filming, to discuss the decade-long drought the cinema has seen since the last dino-tastic film Jurassic Park III.
Sitting down with Today, Pratt spoke about the new world created for the next wave of Jurassic Park films, and if the new characters will survive for dino world of Jurassic World.
Paired with star Chris Pratt was actress Bryce Dallas Howard, who was very eager to talk about the excitement and pressure of going into an iconic world.
“I feel like Jurassic Park was our generation’s star wars. It’s a really big deal. When we find ourselves on set watching playback we’ll be like, da-da-daaa-da, all in chorus, singing along, as we watch a sweeping shot unfold.”
In this film, a dinosaur theme park has been created. Months earlier, it was rumored that the plot revolves around the hot theme park and how one day it comes to life and the dinosaurs wreak havoc on the visitors.
Pratt explained the significance of the theme park plot point:
“People from around the world, 20,000 visitors a day, come to see the dinosaurs and see the several attractions.”
“It’s been around long enough to where attendance starts to fall off a little bit. So they’ve decided to come up with a new attraction to bring even more people in. You’re never gonna believe it, but it doesn’t go well.”
Things turned from serious to silly really fast when Jenna showed Pratt the now famous Instagram shot of Chris baring his six-pack abs. The correspondent was stunned, and Pratt cheekily replied, “Those are America’s abs.” When asked whether or not his abs helped protect the rest of the characters in Jurassic World, the Parks and Recreation star was eager to joke, “I’m like, ‘quick drop and do twenty crunches. That will protect us.”
In addition to Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Jake Johnson, Vincent D’Onofio, and Omar Sy will also star in Jurassic World. Fans will also be pumped to find out that an original cast member is coming back. BD Wong has reprised his role as Henry Wu.
