Return Of The Mack: Kissy-Face Congressman Vance McAllister Slated For ‘Return’

Remember Vance McAllister? Back in April, the Ouachita Citizen outed a video of the very horny and very married House Representative ‘lip caressing‘ his office scheduler for a whopping 30 seconds. Ooh la la! Long story short, after being lambasted by the media for his “gotcha moment,” McAllister decided to not seek reelection in Louisiana’s 5th congressional district.

According to Politico, however, it appears that the “kissing congressman” has changed his mind. Why the change of heart? An undisclosed private poll that was released last week shows Vance leading over his potential opponents, GOP State Senator Neil Riser and Democrat Jamie Mayo, mayor of Monroe. Plus, the amorous congressman is feeling the love:

“There is overwhelming support asking me to reconsider [and] it’s up to the people to decide.”

Aww!

McAllister is 45 to 55 percent confident that he’ll run. Note that the registration deadline isn’t until August 22, so he only has about two months left to decide. Note also that if he does run, he’ll get to compete against Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson’s nephew Zach Dasher, who announced his own plans to run to Reuters only a few days back.

Here’s where the story gets interesting. The seat had originally been held for 10 years by Rodney Alexander, but then he resigned on September 26, 2013 for a position in the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs. This spawned a special election between newcomer Vance McAllister and (wait for it) State Senator Neil Riser. McAllister faced one hell of a battle, especially considering that both Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor endorsed his opponent.

Guess who then decided to pop up out of nowhere and pass some love to McAllister only a few days before the election? Not only Phil Robertson, but his son Willie as well! Vance then went on to crush Riser 54,450 to 36,840. Did McAllister win because of their support? There’s really no way to know the answer to that question. All we know for certain is that it’s extraordinarily unlikely that the Robertsons will throw their support behind McAllister again, especially given his recently discovered penchant for engaging in titillating extramarital affairs!

Vance is also not likely to garner much support from either Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal or former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, as both had previously urged him to resign.

Fascinating stuff, right? Anyway. In case you want to see the video that got Vance in trouble, look below, though we ask that you first put the kids to bed:
