Cody Simpson Finds Love With Gigi Hadid Once Again

Sorry to burst your bubble ladies, but Cody Simpson is reportedly back together with his girlfriend. Hopefully this news won’t completely derail your summer.

Although word on the street suggests that the Australian singer and Gigi Hadid decided to call it quits, apparently the rumored separation didn’t last for long. According to Hollywood Life, Simpson and the American fashion model are an item once again. Young love is kind of complicated like that.

So how do we know all this super important info about Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid? Thanks to social media, of course! The model recently issued an image of the pair hanging out together, a photograph that came equipped with the not-so-subtle caption: “happy one, bub, unconditional.” It’s not an official statement regarding their romance, but you don’t have to read too far between the lines to get a clear picture of what’s going on.

The Daily Mail points out that the pic of Cody Simpson and his girlfriend arrived on June 14, which is their one-year anniversary. Although it’s hard to celebrate such an achievement when you’ve gone your separate ways, the couple apparently aren’t too worried about that little break in their relationship.

“I definitely don’t imagine it being over for good. We’re still really good friends and we chat. We just had to slow it down,” Simpson explained to People magazine earlier this year. It appears that his assessment wasn’t too far off the proverbial mark.

Simpson has certainly kept himself busy this year. Not only did the guy enjoy a stint on Dancing with the Stars, he also recorded the song “Surfboard.” As you may have ascertained from the title, the tune is an ode to his love of — you guessed it — surfing. However, The Inquisitr previously reported that Hadid also served as inspiration.

Cody said in regards to his growth as a musician:

“I feel like I’ve grown so much so rapidly right now and improved so much so quickly that I made a promise to myself to never let anyone hold me back. And that’s what I’ve been doing this time just taking total control of everything. And do my very best to do something that was totally me and totally from my mind and totally unique.”
