Car Crashes Into The Lobby Of CNN Center In Atlanta!
In a bizarre accident in the wee hours of Friday morning, an expensive Mercedes convertible ended up in the lobby of the CNN Center in Atlanta. The car had apparently crashed through the glass walls of the lobby.
According to dispatchers who arrived on the scene soon after the incident, the driver of the car drove through the large glass walls of the CNN Center on Marietta Street at around 4:15 am local time. According to USA Today, no one was injured in the incident.
Atlanta Police Officer John Chafee adds that the driver of the car, a man identified as 22-year-old Gerlmy Javon Todd, was taken into custody. It was later revealed that Todd had himself admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the morning.
The man has been charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and marijuana possession, says WXIA.
Meanwhile, pictures of the car resting inside the lobby of the CNN Center were posted on Twitter. In fact, the first news story regarding the incident was announced by CNN themselves with this tweet:
