Are Julia Roberts and Danny Moder headed for divorce?
According to The National Enquirer via MSN Wonderwall , Roberts and Moder’s marriage is in shambles and it is only a matter of time before one of them files divorce papers. While these rumors have been around for a couple of months, new claims suggest that Roberts had a steamy affair with actor Mark Ruffalo. Ruffalo co-starred in The Normal Heart with Roberts and apparently they were recently spotted out “getting flirty” with one another. So, naturally, this must mean that they are having an affair, right? Probably not.
Julia Roberts’ marriage has been questioned from time to time. Despite being married for 12 years and having three children together, Julia and Danny often find themselves in the middle of split rumors — it is just part of being a successful Hollywood couple. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, recent rumors surrounding a Julia Roberts split involved Danny Moder being fed-up with his wife’s “iron fist ruling.” Sources said that Moder felt “bullied” by Roberts and that he had finally had enough. While that story didn’t amount to much (and no divorce papers were filed), it was only a matter of time before another story popped up… and this time it’s a “cheating scandal.”
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, this maybe-divorce could cost the couple $620 million . The site also questions the validity of the cheating rumors because of how Julia and Danny got together to begin with: Moder cheated on his wife (Vera Steimberg) with Roberts:
“At the time, Danny’s ex-wife claimed that he would cheat on Julia just as he cheated on her, but maybe the roles are reversed? Maybe Julia’s the one doing the cheating, not the other way around.”
A Julia Roberts divorce would be huge news in Hollywood. She is, after all, America’s sweetheart, and just about everyone loves her. It is hard for many celebrities to fight off the ridiculous tabloid rumors, but with the odds stacked against them, staying together can sometimes be even more difficult. As of now, most people believe that the Julia Roberts split rumors have no validity: They are just something to write about.
If you remember back to December, there were reports that Roberts was pregnant. The 46-year-old actress debunked the rumors herself, sort of laughing them off… but she has yet to comment on the status of her marriage. Probably because she really doesn’t have to.
