It’s not surprising but Kanye West had plans to surprise his bride-to-be Kim Kardashian with a little something on her wedding day. Before they exchanged their vows, Kanye was able to pull off a pretty big surprise for his bride Kim Kardashian , that not only touched her but also took her breath away.
As stated the surprise happened on the couple’s wedding day in Florence, Italy. Not only did West get Lana Del Rey to sing the night before, but on the day of their wedding, Kardashian walked down the aisle and saw her absolute favorite performer singing live during the ceremony. Kim’s favorite crooner was none other than opera singer Andrea Bocelli.
Kardashian explained her shock to E! Online :
“I thought I was walking to the aisle to his CD playing, but when I got to the altar, I did a double take and screamed! I couldn’t believe he was there himself! My favorite singer is Andrea Bocelli and Kanye surprised me.”
During the ceremony between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, the tenor singer sang his most notable songs, including “Con the Partirò” and “Ave Maria.” The moment was bittersweet because Robert Kardashian, the late father of Kim, was a fan of the singer. Of walking down the aisle to Andrea Bocelli, Kim said:
“My dad [Robert Kardashian, who died of cancer in 2003] loved him too. It felt like I was walking down the aisle with my dad as [Andrea] sang.”
Kanye’s surprise for Kim seemed to have touched everyone. Kim’s sister Kendall Jenner said the wedding was, “beautiful, there was a lot of love in the air and just to see two people so happy was amazing.”
For those who were hoping to see a glimpse of Kim Kardashian walking down the aisle to her favorite singer, you might not want to hold your breath. Kim revealed that the wedding will not be televised. However, people “might see a little bit of before, like the actual wedding, just like preparations, but not the wedding itself.”
This doesn’t come as a huge surprise because Kardashian’s husband Kanye West is a notoriously private person, which has always clashed with Kim’s willingness to share her life over the course of her E! series Keeping Up with The Kardashians . West has made his compromises though, as he hired his own crew to film their engagement. At the time West said that he thought it would be a nice sentiment that she would want captured.
