Rachel Bilson is pregnant with her first child with longtime boyfriend Hayden Christensen.
The two, who met on the set of their 2008 film Jumper , are said to be expecting their first child together. Although the private couple haven’t revealed any details about the pregnancy, sources close to the couple have reached out to several magazines, including US Weekly, to celebrate the news.
Of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen’s newfound joy, sources told US Weekly :
“They’ve both talked about this for awhile and are so excited. Everyone is beyond thrilled for them.”
Apparently starting a family with her boyfriend Hayden Christensen was something that Bilson was very excited to begin. Back in 2013, Bilson was interviewed by Cosmopolitan and revealed that she had kids on the brain.
“I definitely have family on the brain. Having kids is something I want to see in my future—I hope.”
Although the couple keeps their relationship private, over the last two years Rachel has been opening up about her domestic life with the Star Wars star.
“I love to cook, so we make dinner at home a lot and watch movies.”
Of how she balances being a good partner with her career, Bilson revealed that it’s no brainer for her. Her beau Hayden Christensen comes first in her life. At the time Bilson said:
“I’m a really good girlfriend — I always put all that first in my life. I’m definitely the person who would make him his favorite dinner to come home to.”
A friend close to the couple has told US Weekly that Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen will make great parents, and their strengths in their relationship with translate well in parenthood.
“They will make wonderful, hands-on parents.”
Even though it wasn’t always easy for Christensen and Bilson, the two seem to be settled down in their lives together. As stated the couple met while filming Jumper, and quickly started dating. Soon after the two were engaged in 2008, but then three years later announced that they were splitting up. Fortunately that only lasted for a few months, and then the pair reunited and have been together ever since.
Since his Star Wars status, Hayden Christensen has taken independent films and smaller roles in ensemble films. His next role, aside from being a brand new father-to-be is in American Heist with Adrien Brody and Jordana Brewster. Another is an action film called Outcast opposite Nicolas Cage.
