Iggy Azalea Struggles Through ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Performance
Iggy Azalea experienced some technical difficulties during her performance on the season finale of Dancing with the Stars.
The Australian rapper was just one of several entertainers slated to appear on this week’s episode of the dance competition. Unfortunately for Azalea, the live performance of her tune “Fancy” didn’t go off without a hitch.
According to the Daily Mail, Iggy Azalea experienced some serious issues with her in-ear monitors right off the bat. Although she tried her best to keep the show going, the rapper ultimately had to stop performing because she couldn’t hear the track.
“I’m so sorry but there’s something wrong with my ears,” Iggy explained as she stumbled through the beginning of the tune.
Folks who enjoy gawking at train wrecks should take a good look at the clip below. It’s admittedly a little hard to watch at first, though Azalea ultimately manages to pull everything together. For the most part, anyway.
After taking the stage during the DWTS season finale, Iggy Azalea issued an apology on Twitter for the snafu. In short: the rapper learned the hard way that live television is often a very fickle beast.
Iam so sorry guys! My in ears messed up and I couldn’t hear the track. The dramas of live TV. Shit happens. Still really enjoyed it.

While quite a few people used the Dancing with the Stars fiasco to pick Iggy Azalea apart on social media, some of her fans were very impressed with the rapper’s ability to hold it together during the mishap.
@IGGYAZALEA mad respect for tonight, you stayed on perfect timing with no in ear, in a crowded room. I bow down true professionalism!

Azalea wasn’t the only performer ABC brought in for the Dancing with the Stars finale. Australian singer and former DWTS contestant Cody Simpson performed his latest single “Surfboard,” while Ariana Grande belted out her hit tune “Problem.” Unlike Iggy, the other special guests managed to get through their performances without any hiccups.
For those who ventured into this article with hopes that we’d reveal this season’s winner — spoiler warning in effect — Olympic skater Meryl Davis ultimately took home the title. Not surprisingly, Davis was pretty excited about results.
Thank you all for the incredible support…. I’m completely overwhelmed. @MaksimC and I have been so fortunate to share this journey w/ you!
