Earlier this week we reported that female hip-hop pioneer and superproducer Missy Elliott announced that she sufferes from Graves disease and now she has taken to Twitter to thank all of her fans for the support she has received.
If you’re unfamiliar with the disease it is an autoimmune disorder that affected the thyroid, a condition Elliott was diagnosed with in 2008 and that she said “you live with it for the rest of your life.”
Immediately following her reveal she tweeted the message shown in the screenshot abouve which reads:
“Thank yall for the love yall have shown me! *TearsofJoy* I love yall so much!” Fans are using the hashtag #prayFOR missy to send well-wishes.”
With her new album Block Party expected this year, her first in six years she took some more time out of her day to tweet a new message to fans who have shown their support:
