Jonas Brothers Say Goodbye With Five-Song EP, Live Album

The Jonas Brothers are bidding farewell to their fans with a new EP and live album.

Fans of the band were quite shocked when the group decided to part ways back in October. Instead of saying goodbye without giving their supporters one last effort, the guys decided to put together a five-track EP containing a few songs from their canceled album, V.

According to Entertainmentwise, the Jonas Brothers revealed the five tunes on their official fan club website. Nick Jonas explained earlier this year that the new material was a lot darker than their previous musical endeavors.

“It’s really dark. That’s what I love about this song. We used to be more creative than we needed to be with our lyrics to disguise the things we were really talking about and the people we were talking about. Now. it’s more fun to just lay it out,” the singer said.

Included in the batch of tunes are “What Do I Mean To You,” “The World,” “Wedding Bells,” “Neon,” and “Found.” Fans of the group can listen to a pair of the new tracks below.

Digital Spy reports that the Jonas Brothers are offering the EP and live album on the official fan club website. If you’re looking for some new tunes from the group in the wake of their separation, then you’ll want to sign up for Team Jonas.

After selling over four million albums, the Jonas Brothers decided to take a break in 2009. Although they planned to release a new album and embark on a tour, these plans were ultimately scrapped. The news fans were dreading arrived on October 29.

“It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that our time as the Jonas Brothers is over. This decision has not come lightly, and we know that many of you will be disappointed. We would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported and inspired us through the years, and stood by us in this difficult decision,” the band said in a statement.

Nick Jonas explained the breakup during his appearance on Good Morning America:

“We’re family first and that’s always been our main priority and so honestly within what we do as a group was really important. I came to the table with the guys… and shared my heart with them and my feelings. I said, ‘Look, I feel like we’ve had some complications within the group for a long time [and] without addressing them I think this train will fall off the tracks.'”
